If you ever need to dispute a checkr background check, don’t wait — do it ASAP. I had a job offer on hold because Checkr flagged a misdemeanor that was actually dismissed years ago. They didn’t update the outcome, which made it look way worse than it was. I submitted a dispute through their portal with court documents, and it took about a week to get resolved. They’re supposed to follow FCRA guidelines, so if something’s inaccurate, you absolutely have the right to challenge it. Just make sure you keep records of everything you send in. Mistakes like that can definitely cost you a job if you don’t speak up.
