HATTIE CARTHAN VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION

WHEN: JULY 10 2018, 6PM - 9PM

WHERE: HATTIE CARTHAN COMMUNITY MARKET, 395 CLIFTON PLACE (BEHIND THE MARKET)

Thank you for completing our volunteer registration at a previous event! We will gather to provide mandatory training and a season schedule for all volunteers.

The Hattie Carthan farm and its two community based markets is currently seeking the following volunteers:

2 adult market seller mentors to oversee market sales and inventory

2 market promotions volunteers (COMMUNITY INREACH) to work at informational table in July, august, September and to assist with spreading flyers and emails to community organizations and residents

2 people to help setup and breakdown the Sunday market

2 special events interns to assist with annual fundraising dinners and seasonal public art installations on farm

5 weeders and waterers for market and farm beds

3 dedicated harvesters to pick and clean the food for distribution in the market every Friday 2 pm to 6 pm and Sundays noon to 2 pm

2 livestock interns to tend and maintain disease free coops weekly

1 basket distribution intern to coordinate weekly nutritional data and recipes for market baskets. Weekly basket intern will assist with signing up new basket clients on market days in July and August and to monitor customer pickups in Saturday and Sunday markets.
