Are you an old fashioned human who enjoys donating your time and skills to a small project with a large environmental impact?

Are you a foodie who totally understands why small scale agricultural projects are important to achieving community equity in our food and health systems?

Do you have a few hours to help with farm work on Friday afternoons or early Sunday morning?

Please stop by our volunteer registration table in front the market July 6th / 7th 6 pm to 7:30 pm to register your availability and skills and plan to join us on July 13th from 6 pm to 9 pm.

July 13th 2016 from 6 pm to 9 pm

Please note, you will need to register at our Volunteer Drive on July 6th 2017 or July 7th 2017 in order to receive this mandatory volunteer training and a season schedule.

The Hattie Carthan farm and it's two community based markets is currently seeking the following volunteers:

2 adult market seller mentors to oversee market sales and inventory
2 market promotions volunteers to spread flyers and emails to community organizations and residents
2 people to help setup and breakdown the Sunday market
2 special events interns to assist with annual fundraising dinners and seasonal public art installations on farm
5 weeders and waterers for market and farm beds
3 dedicated harvesters to pick and clean the food for distribution in the market every Friday 2 pm to 6 pm and Sundays noon to 2 pm
2 livestock interns to tend and maintain disease free coops weekly
1 basket distribution intern to coordinate weekly nutritional data and recipes for market baskets . Weekly basket intern will assist with signing up new basket clients on market days in a July and August and to monitor customer pickups in Saturday and Sunday markets.
